West coast of Mexico

The A-listers’ favourite, this part of Mexico is all about paradise beaches, glam hangouts and luxury hotels.

South Africa

From the iconic Table Mountain to the wildlife-packed Kruger National Park, South Africa is on any self-respecting traveller’s wish list.

    • Danny Payne says:

Hi! I think the 787-8 should fly to more unusual destinations maybe Venezuela, Brazil or panama, Somewhere exotic.

    • Ann Settle says:

Dominican Republic – we go every year and have been waiting for the Dreamliner for 2 years so far.

  2. Sue Warburton says:

We travel to Domincan Republic, Punta Cana twice a year and it would be wonderful to fly there on the Dreamliner. We have watched its progress to you over the last couple of years

    • Rob Bert Reynolds ( Posh Essex) says:

Definately Dominion Republic (Punta Cana ) Our First choice, of course! Next, Hawaii yeh!!! Best hols in the tropics 6 years ago.Would be a Dreamliner hol to return again. Especially flying kites on the beach in the early evening with the beach security man attempting to fly my flexifoil power kite in his uniform.Ha Ha .PS, Any cocessions reduction for lightweight retired people?

  5. Terry Crouch says:

Goa. Went there 30 years ago, great holiday destination. Something for everyone and very cheap. Only the normal charter planes go there.

    • jean says:

GOA please, we really need an airline with comfort for that journey.

    • edward smith says:

My wife & I travel with you twice a
Year to Goa .we would love to travel
there on board the DREAMLINER Oh
      what Bliss

      • Julie Riley says:

I agree with previous comments Goa would be a great destination for the Dreamliner. We have travelled over many years to Goa in what at times could be classed as a sardine tin please give me comfort in my dotage

  8. kerry pattenden says:

Dominican Republic, as this is a very popular destination.

    • Derek and Carol says:

I agree with the comments above. This is one of the most visited countries now! It would be great if we could get comfort as well as a great holiday

  9. Lewis Alexander Hunt says:

Hawaii would be great? Can it do it non-stop?

    • Max Windsor Peplow says:

No it can’t the -9 can get to Perth so if they order the 9 it might would probably go via la is nice though

      • JasonT says:

The B787-800 does have the range from the UK-Hawaii.
Great circle mapper rout has LGW-HNL as 7262 miles which is 6310 nautical miles.
The B787-800 has a range (from Boeing’s specs) of 7,650 to 8,200 nautical miles depending on configuration.

  10. sheila says:

We love Cape Verde, it’s a fantastic place. I know others that love it too but said won’t go again because the flight is too cramped on Thomson flights at present.
We are going again in January with First Choice, it would be fantastic to travel on Dreamliner.

    • Craig H says:

Oh dear Shiela! Your in for a shock! Do you not realise that Thomson and first choice are the same company. First choice is just the holiday, Thomson provides all the flights for the first choice holidays. So you’ll be on the same aircraft as last time!!

      • jen says:

although the same company there is different aircraft , some thomson some first choice although hardly any difference in seat pitch at all.

  11. Jayne Stirrup says:

Definitely Hawaii, US airlines dominate this market making it awkward and expensive to travel from the UK to these beautiful islands. Please add Hawaii TUI, we will certainly be booking!

  12. Chris Davies says:

    Please Bring back Puerto Vallarta!!!

  13. Janet Bradford says:

Perth, Australia. People are going further afield for new adventures, Western Australia is different to the more popular east coast, plus our daughter and family are moving there!

  14. Jan says:

I thought I heard that Thomson will be flying a Route from The UK to Hawaii with the New Dreamliner 7E7. Is this going to be a possibility or is it just complete rumors?

    • Hollie @Thomson says:

Hi Jan, Thanks for your message. At the moment, the Dreamliner is scheduled to fly from Gatwick, Manchester, East Midlands and Glasgow to Florida and Mexico. We are currently planning new routes so watch this space for more information

  15. sally cooke says:

I would like the dreamliner to go to the maldives – a heavenly plane to a heavenly place !!

  16. Dylan Leonard says:

I think the 787 should be used to open up new routes from other UK Thomson Base, Example Newcastle. The 787 would be great on Aruba Route (possibly from Newcastle). Aruba is a island in the Caribbean that offers a whole host of fun things to do, from Watersports to ATV riding, horseback tours, jeep tours, helicopter Tours, 30+ degree heat, crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches (with one named one of the best in the World) fantastic Hotels and beautiful cuisine. Aruba is a growing tourist location and thE 787 would be a good aircraft to send to Aruba.

    • Marie says:

I agree new aircraft always fly out of the London airports or Manchester, Newcastle would be great, the Far East a must, we travel to Thailand regularly and that would save us time and money, you can also fly onward from the Far East airports, well done Thomson!

  17. josh says:

i would love to fly with the dreamliner but i would like to go longhaul but not to exspensive so i say mexico, cancun

    • Hollie @Thomson says:

Hi Josh. Thanks for your suggestion, and I’m pleased to say that great minds think alike – Mexico is one of the Dreamliner’s initial two destinations. I hope we’ll see you onboard one of our flights soon.

    • karen says:

I quite agree, went ro Aruba last June, amazing place

  18. Matheus says:

Come on to Brazil,Sao Paulo,Rio de Janeiro and my city Belo Horizonte, here we only have one airline flyind non-stop to Europe and we want more !

  19. Mandy says:

    Jamacia
    cool tropical Caribbean
Encourage holiday makers to fly to JA , help their economy.
Ooo and I fly there every year with you.!

  20. Sylvia Seddon says:

I’d like to fly on the Dreamliner to Brazil. I went there on honeymoon in 2007 with First Choice and it was the most amazing holiday we’d ever had. It would to be fanastic to be able go back again with Thompson Holidays on the Dreamliner

  21. Nathaniel Thompson says:

Oh do come to Hawaii! Didn’t Hawaii win your survey back in 2010? And if you come to Honolulu hopefully we can make the journey in the opposite direction Honolulu-Gatwick or Honolulu-Manchester would be just great!

  22. Tony Carne says:

I think it would be a very good idea to offer places that other airlines have to have a stopover, such as Hawaii, Las Vegas and if possible New Zealand and Australia. That would be a very good USP that you can say that we fly to these destinations direct so no need to change you plane.

  23. Stu Henry says:

West coast of Mexico and South Africa from East Midlands Airport

  24. Alex Baldwin says:

Hi. First off, I’m really looking forward to flying the 787 with Thomson, hopefully to Cancun next year. I have a few ideas on routes that would be great for the 787 and Thomson. As you have opted for the 787-8, with a range of up to 8,200NM, there are a lot more destinations available to you. A route i would like to see is London Gatwick to Rio De Janeiro. Another route i’d like to see is LGW-BKK (Bangkok) or LGW-HAN (Hanoi-vietnam) and possibly LGW-DUB (Dubai). Just some suggestions of places i’d like to visit on the 787.

  25. Jhon Tierny says:

I’d like to fly to Brazil and Vietnam whit boing 787

  26. Anna williams says:

I think the dreamliner should fly to sharm el sheikh as it is an up and coming holiday destination

  27. Stephen says:

Lets see Puerto Vallarta back on the books again! Brilliant destination to visit when First Choice Airways flew into there!

  28. Janet Gillies says:

Would love Thomson to do the east coast of America. New York, Washington, New England and Canada would be good.

    • Juliet Fleming says:

Flying to new York is a must and Canada’s Montreal and Quibec the Ambericas people is land of the plent how could it not go there! X

      • Hilary W says:

Yes, JFK NYC please! Travelling with our ‘national’ airline was a nightmare, so I’d love to see the Dreamliner on flights there.

I agree, Boston from Manchester would be great.

  29. James Wilkinson says:

    Brazil, hawaii, south africa,

  31. Lindsey Odell says:

    Australia, south Africa and maldives/Mauritius

  32. Sam Cade says:

    Antigua for its beautiful beaches!
    Hawaii, need i say anymore?
Vietnam and/or Cambodia for the culture….
    Borneo the wildlife, culture etc.
Margarita for the beaches and its somewhere different.

The bahamas, as it just looks amazing!
Turks and Caicos, its the caribbean need i say more?

  33. Rob says:

Las Vegas (from Manchester to compete with VS)
    Antigua
    St Lucia
Thailand – possibly reposition a cruise ship out there and link in with cruise and stays!
    Brazil
    Puerto Vallarta/Cabo San Lucas
    Vietnam
    Mauritius
    UAE
    New York

    • Karen says:

His hairstyle and lentgh of hair on video of interview and at the time he got passport is the same. So is his dress, same shirt, same necktie. I would guess the video was made on the same day.

  34. Ben C says:

A great destination to fly would be… AUSTRALIA
Thomson could be the next big UK airline to fly to Australia and be the first to do it in style with the 787 Dreamliner

  35. Ben C says:

    Thomson should fly to Australia!

    Dubai, UAE.

    Jordan.

    Australia.

  42. karen scullion says:

all destinations sound good to me count me in

  43. Sarah ali says:

Guyana in south America. No planes go direct from UK. Beautiful country next to Brazil.

  44. Sarah ali says:

There is a need for a direct flight to Guyana in South America. Close to Brazil and Antigua. Ill be the first to book with my family of 6. Its a nightmare stopping over anywhere, would love a direct flight.

  45. Deiniol Thomas says:

I’d fly the 787 Dreamliner either to Los Angeles or San Francisco from Manchester, as currently you either have to fly down to Heathrow, or connect through New York or Chicago.

    • Mikey says:

I know what you mean. Travelling from Glasgow to LAX and SFO at presnt is very frustarting going via LHR or AMS means you normally fly back over Glasgow at 35,000 feet about 5 hours after leaving. I think LAX, SFO ans LAS create a Golden Triangle of destinations to be served from the likes of MAN and GLA.

  46. alan millar says:

My favourite destination Kenya I fly there almost 4 times a year and would even go 5 if it was with Dreamliner.

  47. D Milne says:

Why don’t you start with short flights showing off this plane to your customers on a PROJECT exercise.

    • Hollie @Thomson says:

Hi Derek, Thank you for your message. The Boeing 787 Dreanliner is currently designed to travel to long haul destinations, as it is to be lighter on the environment than what typical flights are as there will be a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions.

We are beginning with long-haul routes to Mexico and Florida, however more plans are in development to take advantage of the potential reach of the aircraft in the future.

  48. mark t says:

Maldives from manchester- winter 2013/14 would be great on the 787 as has been dropped for this winter and the aircraft would really help with the jet lag especially on the 12 hour non -stop return journey!

  49. Pete says:

    Hawaii non stop?

  50. Pete says:

    Hawaii non stop!

  51. Elaine Byrne says:

Cabos San Lucas, we had booked to go there 4 years ago & it was cancelled

  52. Kate says:

How about Mexico’s national park area Huatulco or Puerto Vallarta on Pacific coast. Fantastic places but no tour operator seems to do these.

  53. Mark says:

Japan, for the culture and skiing.
A place i have always wanted to visit and would help them given what they have been through.

  54. David A says:

South Africa – Cape Town is fantastic and ideal for the 787 and Kruger National Park would open up an amazing opportunities for UK travellers. No sensible flights currently offered by other schedule airlines

  62. Luke says:

I think brazil or Las Vages. They are both long haul flights and go to popular destinations. Also brazil is next to host the Olympics in 2016 so a lot of people might go there.

  63. Ken Wolverson says:

Las Vegas, because EVERYONE needs to do it once!

  64. Marthese Morris says:

All the Carrabean islands especially Barbados; St Lucia; Seychelles; The Bahama and
    New York
    Las Vegae
    Hawaii
    Thailand
    Australia
    New Zealand
    Peru
    Brazil
It would be so popular to travel in such comfort from Manchester DIRECT to thes beautiful destinations!

  65. Marthese M says:

All the Carrabean islands especially Barbados; St Lucia; Seychelles; The Bahamas andNew York Las Vegas Hawaii Thailand; Australia; New Zealand; Peru; Brazil

  67. Peter says:

I think hawaii would be great, I would be one of the first to book.

  68. Mr Donohoe says:

Expand your long haul network from your Glasgow base!

Mauritius and The Seychelles would be two fantastic destinations.

  69. Matt says:

    HAWAII

Currently NO airlines fly DIRECT from the UK – Hawaii. If Thomson was to fly direct it would have the market to itself and would end the endless transfers at airports in the states.

  70. Angela says:

Definitely Hawaii please. There is so much to do and see there and ideal for island hopping. And Borneo for the beaches and wildlife. South Africa so much to see and do.

  71. Angela says:

Hawaii please. So much to see and do. Good for island hopping and cruising. Borneo for beaches and wildlife. South Africa – so diverse for scenery culture and wildlife.

  72. Michael says:

Shanghi, Hong kong, New york, Phucket, because they are the moast populer long haul destnations

  73. C Barker says:

It would be great to be able to travel to South Africa direct from Manchester – no jet lag unlike the Americas. Also new destinations in the US etc would be great – it is easy to travel to Florida on existing flights.

  74. Bernie says:

We would love to fly to Hawaii, Thailand, California, Vegas, New Zealand and Australia in your new plane, sounds amazing…

  75. Lynn Needham says:

Fly frequently to the Dominican Republic which is one of the most popular Caribbean holiday destinations of many British families. What a disappointment it would be if Tui Travel miss out this glorious island in their plans for future routes using this amazing trendsetting aircraft.

  76. Mr Barrie sales says:

I would love it if you would fly your new Dreamliner from Manchester to Barbados for your Winter Cruise Sailings. This would greatly enhance the start and finish of your Thomson Cruises for a complete enjoyable holiday.

  80. Steven says:

I’d like to see you fly to Costa Rica. Am I right in thinking this WAS a Thomson destination in around 2010 and shortly after launch got discontinued? Bring it back!

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Steven, We did briefly fly to Costa Rica but it was removed from our flight programme. But thanks for your feedback on where you’d like to see the Dreamliner fly next.

  81. Dan Peterson says:

Australia would be amazing. So would Hawaii but the price would have to be right. Everyone wants to go somewhere new but need to have the budget to do it in the first place. I have always thought that travel companies in the UK are missing out on not flying to Thailand. Nearly all other European airlines do. Come on Thomson, take a risk and do something new!!

  82. J. Snare says:

I think that the new 787 Dreamliner should fly to Sharm El Sheikh Airport, Egypt as my wife to be and I are going there for are honeymoon September 2013 and we would love to fly on this lovely new plane to experience luxury from the start of are honeymoon to the flight back at the end. This would be the icing on the cake for us.

  83. Andy says:

Would like to see Thomson open up more eastern destiantions fro, the uk. Phuket, Koch Samui, krabi, Bangkok, Cambodia,Vietnam, also south America brazil.

  84. David Chandler says:

I would like to see the 787 on routes between England and eas coast of America, like Philadelphia or New York.

I think that hawii should be a route because its such a profitable route

  87. Liam Booth says:

    Hawaii

We have been flying with you for the last 9 years to Cuba and have been anxiously waiting to see when you would be flying the new 787 Dreamliner there, but we are so disappointed to see that so far there are No plans to fly to Cuba. We think you should fly there next because it is still a relatively un spoilt country. Fingers crossed for Cuba 2013/2014

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

We’ve only got Florida and Mexico as Dreamliner destinations at the moment but watch this space!

  91. mal davies says:

its got to be the west coast of mexico………why did you ever stop !

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Mal, Some of our routes in our flight programme can change from time to time due to demand. But there’s nothing to say they won’t reappear again in the future.

  92. David C says:

Will be flying out to Aruba 2013 to get married. Would love to fly on the Dreamliner

  93. Mark Smith says:

I would vote for Hawaii, it’s such a long journey at present, it would be great to get their with no stops.

  94. Jules says:

Aruba, from Manchester 22nd June returning 7th July would be fantastic! Make my dream come true

  95. Ben says:

I would love to see a return to puerto vallarta – its a beautiful part of Mexico and offers a more authentic mexican experience than Cancun.
Hawaii and Thailand – amazing places and no other airline flys direct from the UK so it would appeal to those who want to minimise airport time!
New York – what a coup for a charter to compete and a manchester departure would sell itself!
    The list could go on!!

    • Mark says:

have to agree Ben. how nice would it be to actually fly on a british carrier to New York other than the american carriers from Manchester. Seats would fill themselves with this aircraft.

  96. Jonathan says:

South Africa South africa South Africa!
Break the cartel of the major carriers and offer cheaper flights on the best aircraft in the world

  97. Robin bailey says:

    Rio, please please me !

  98. Ali Mealing says:

I’d love to see more longhaul routes available again and would be especially pleased to see the reintroduction of previously explored routes such as Brazil, Costa Rica and Western Mexico (Puerto Vallarta/Huatulco) – they’re all amazing destinations and it was so sad to see them dropped.

As for ‘New’ routes, South Africa, Zanzibar, Australia, Thailand, Borneo, Vietnam and Cambodia would be top of my list.

    • Tracy says:

I agree, just when I discovered these destinations the flights stopped. Would be great to have these back.

  99. Pauline Fox says:

Dom Rep Aruba cape Verde etc etc

  100. Keith Hopkins says:

It would be nice for a luxury direct flight to GOA instead of one stop with Qatar airways

  101. carol kay-williams says:

Hope you will cover Varadero Cuba soon as this is our regular placefor hols. Perhaps you can tell us why you have ceased flights from Manchester to Varadero Cuba in January 2013, Gatwick is too far for many to drive to, flights have always been full on those flights.

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Carol, Sometimes we have to make changes to our flight programme from time to time and this can be due to a number of factors. But it doesn’t mean that these flights won’t appear again in the future. I’m sorry for any disappointment this has caused.

  102. Juliana Grundy says:

Goa please. A comfortable direct flight would ease the pain of the horrible airport on arrival, and soften the blow of having to leave at the end of the holiday.

  103. ZAC says:

No ? has to be “Hawaii” Non-stop Own this route!

  104. Mikey says:

Glasgow to Sharm and Cape Verde. A +6 Hour flight in a B757 with 28″ seat pitch is a nightmare.

  105. Stanley Walker says:

I hope that Thomson will buy more of those and replace 757 ancient aircrafts soon, otherwise they will lose customers. Anything over 3 hours flight should be long haul. 757 has shocking seat pitch,Thomson should inform people before booking.I’m so angry that I have booked Holidays with them and not realise I’m on 757 to Cape Verde. It’s a disgrace for this Travel Operator.

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Stanley, Our aircrafts and flight times are subject to change due to our programmes being planned so far in advance – so we wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly what plane you’d be on before you booked. But thanks for taking the time to share your comments and I’m sorry to hear you’ve been unhappy on your flights with us. All the feedback we receive is passed on to our Airline Team.

  106. Amy Riley says:

    Hawaii, LA, New York

  107. Tracy says:

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico please. It’s a fantastic resort but so difficult to get to currently – have to change planes twice. I’d be first in line to book to go to Puerto Vallarta!

  108. Jane says:

    Jamaica please

  109. GREGORY says:

How about opening the old Britannia route up to Australia, or the beautiful Zanzibar in Tanzania. Even Mauritius or the seychelles. But Hawaii direct form the uk would be amazing along with Perth auz!!!!

  110. tam johnstone says:

I would like to see the new dreamlinner go to aruba ,one happy island. I love it there.

  111. Jill says:

Manchester to Maldives – why oh why have you stopped this service!!! When every time we have flown this route it is full. On principle will not fly from Gatwick – so will just have to use another airline from Manchester such as Emirates – come on Thomson Manchester to Maldives back on please

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Jill, I’m sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the change to our flight programme. But thanks for your comments and I’ve passed these on to our Trading Team.

    • Ben says:

Ditto that – it seems the manchester flying schedule is ever diminishing since the merge.

Bring back Maldives, Puerto Vallarta, Barbados!!

  112. Linda says:

Please bring back flights to the Pacific coast of Mexico. Have been there a few times in the past to Puerto Vallarta and Huatulco and absoulutely loved both places. Like previous comment i would also be first in the queue to book a holiday !!!!

  113. Vince GartLand says:

Cannot wait to fly the Dreamliner I hope thomsons will open up the west coast of Australia as I believe this aircraft can reach Perth direct from the UK

    • Fraser Pearson says:

I don’t think that they will open a Australia route because its not with in it rang fully loaded.

  114. Geoff says:

Hong Kong Great place to go

  115. Fraser Pearson says:

East midland airport would be grate for the Barbados. Lots of people I know really want to go but they don’t want to travel to Manchester.

  116. Julie Owens says:

I think Brazil or Dubai because brazil has nice beaches and atmosphere and Dubai has alot of things to do and nice beaches

  117. sharon donaldson says:

dominican republic, for its gorgeous beaches, fabulous people, have been 5 times, my dream destination!

  118. simon horne says:

would love it if you went to thailand as it is an amazing country the new plane looks fantastic and direct flights would be amazing

  119. Fraser Pearson says:

    Brazil please

  120. Kirsty says:

Bali for me would be fantastic.

  121. max windsor peplow says:

go to madagascar beacuse it is really hard to get from the uk to madagascar make it go from east midlands and mancester no gatwick it is to bussy and it is better to focus on mancester or possible strart flying from heathrow. some other destinations are
    cape town
    honolulu
    thailand koi samu and pucket
    china
    tokyo
    perth
    brisbane
    melbourne
    syndey
    auckland
    rio de jeniro
and corfu because i love it.

  122. Esme Dalton says:

Dubai – the dreamliner is pure luxury, as is Dubai, they go hand in hand.

  123. Michael Widdowson says:

You should fly to Hawaii brazil and vietnam cos brazil will hoast the 2016 olypics, vietnam is a very exotic destination and Hawaii is a very touristic destination and hawaii will give your airline some credit by been the first air line to fly direct to hawaii from the uk

  124. Mark says:

I think that the Thomson 787 should fly to Australia and more US Destinations.

    Sydney
    Cairns
    Perth

    Las Vegas
    LA
    San Fran
    New York

With the kind of legroom Thomson are giving in Economy they are far better than any other Longhaul carrier from the UK. i.e. BA and Virgin, their Legroom is shocking. Really hope that Thomson Airways can really expand there long haul Market with this Aircraft.

  125. leonie grundy says:

    Dominican Republic!!!!!

  126. loanda says:

tenerife, because i am fed up with traverling with ryainair etc, on cramped planes

  127. Emma says:

    Manchester to South Africa

  128. Ron says:

To travel direct from Manchester to South Africa

  129. Angie says:

South Africa and Australia and I would definitely book!

  130. Mut and mike says:

Hi. It should be a destination that either there is no direct flight from the U.K or we can’t get package holidays easily.I suggest that you fly to

    Seychelles
    Tanzania – Zanzibar
    Brazil
Venezuela – isla margaritas you used to fly
    The philippines – boracay
    Madagascar
    Sao tome and principe
    Panama

I hope it gives some ideas.

  131. Andy&Angie says:

Its got to be Hawaii. We would love to return to Honolulu but its just too much hassle from the uk at the moment. A direct flight on the Dreamliner would be a sensation. We just got back from Aruba (2 days ago) and to have travelled via the Dreamliner would have been the icing on the cake! Mexico is a great destination but having been to Cancun twice with Thomson we would really like to be able to fly to Varadero, Cuba from Gatwick on the Dreamliner. Thinking about it, we would definitely return to Las Vegas if this was possible on the Dreamliner and also would love to fly to Cabo San Lucas, Thialand and our ‘Buckit List’ destination of Australia on it too! Should you decide to fly to any of the above destinations then please feel free to contact us as we will be more than interested in booking a holiday with yourselves. Infact, we are in the process of choosing a destination for next year and it looks like a third trip to Cancun is on the cards simply because we want to travel on the Dreamliner :)

  132. john says:

flying to perth in western australia what a great place to visit

  133. Sam Salter says:

The 787 Dreamliner should fly to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Melbourne/Sydney and then focus on the routes Thomson Airways already have. When all 12 Dreamliners are in operation it would be great to see one based at Robin Hood Airport or one will fly in every week for 1 flight, just so other people have the chance of getting to fly on this amazing aircraft.

  134. Jackie Hones says:

We love going to Kenya and Cuba,so we would love to fly there on the dreamliner.

  135. Suzie N says:

Definitely Hawaii, this is somewhere I really want to and it’s so difficult from UK.

I looked and you have a to fly to LA (From London of course, no good for us northerners) then fly from there, time consuming and expensive!

I would be booking this on the day tickets were released.

Some good suggestions have been made but I would also have to agree with Thailand and Australia and where not many people seem to have heard of in the French Polynesia, I would love to see Tahiti on there

  136. david willians says:

been waiting a while now bring it on aruba for me !

  137. Angela c says:

manchester to punta cana in july 2013 would be nice to fly on the dreamliner going with a big group of us for our sons wedding please please please

  138. Gary says:

Thomson you should try and fly somewhere that is TOTALY different from other airlines maybe port Elizabeth south Africa or langkawi Thailand Bangkok or other islands which are not so popular which will give Thomson the edge over other airlines. Please try and get your inflight service right from the start. Bring back proper cutlery and china if you are flying premium club make it different than economy.

  139. Sylvia Reece says:

Barbados – give the other airlines some competition (I used to work for Freddie Laker!) Vancouver, Australia, any long haul destinations would be great on the exciting new 787 Dreamliner.

  140. Beth says:

I’d vote for Vietnam and/or other destinations in the Far East preferably with a link up to your cruise operation because of the opportunity to get a taste of these exotic and culturally very interesting countries.

  141. tony says:

defo hawwai (non stop), dominican republic or dubai

  142. Brenda says:

    Hawaii, Alaska, South America,
Puerto Vallarta, Far East with a cruise link

  143. Lisa says:

I think you should go to South America ie: Brazil, Panama and also the Far East. These places have so much culture and offer a real adventure compared with the standard holiday destinations. I love travelling with First choice/Thomson and really want to go further afield without having to go with other holiday companies.

  144. Lizzy92 says:

Definitely Hawaii – Honolulu! Direct flights will be extremely popular also!!

Fly there in time for our next trip in August/September 13!!! Please :)

  145. Edward Buckingham says:

I think that you should fly to Indonesia. with its white sandy beaches, different culture, and also be the first British holiday company to fly to this exotic destination.

  146. Edward Buckingham says:

i’ve just had another thought is its okay to post?

you could be the first UK airline to fly to st.maarteen, in the Caribbean. this would defiantly give the Thomson the edge on other UK holiday makers like Virgin holidays.

  147. Brian gerrrey says:

I am looking forward to traveling on the Dreamliner when I go to Florida next year, what would also be great if Thomson took it to LA and I could do both Disney Parks in the US hope it not too expensive to upgrade from econome

  148. James G says:

    Cuba!

  149. Will Jones says:

Why don’t you fly the dreamliner from Newcastle I am really disappointed I have been waiting for ages for the release and now I am so upset that you won’t fly this plane from my local airport. If you started a route from Newcastle it would mean so much to me.

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Will, I’m sorry to hear that you’re disappointed the Dreamliner won’t be operating from Newcastle. We will be taking more deliverys in 2014 so we may look at flying from other airports in the future.

  150. Ian Hutchman says:

    GOA.Gorgeous and beutifull.

  151. tracey foord says:

hi you sholud fly your dreamliner to hawaii back to ponta negra in natal brazil a fantastic place so sorry when you took your flights off from there and a direct flight to barbados instead of just cruise only flight to join ships there give sir richard virgin branston a run for his money

  152. Beth Whelan says:

We fly to Las Vegas every year with BA would love for Thomson to do it on the Dreamliner and with a package holiday!

  153. Denise Kelly says:

Barbados – the Island in the sun where i would love to travel all year round especially crop over time (July) when flights are sold out. alternate airline would be great!!!

  154. Ross Hall says:

I’d love for my family and myself to fly aboard the Dreamliner to Tokyo to saver the Asian delights in equal splendour !

  155. lauren b says:

i think the new deamliner should be used for long haul flight such as jamacia, cuba, america,

  156. Andri anggoro says:

hi, i love surfing. i think you should fly that aircraft to bali. there’s a lot of tourist potential

  157. tom mead says:

I think you should fly to Papeete Tahiti via Bangkok or Phuket . That way you’ll be able to offer people a luxury holiday of a life time.

  158. David McGregor says:

Honolulu, Hawaii – Open up a completely new market to you at Thomsons! Just has to be successful.

  159. Mark Harland says:

Definitely Perth WA thousands of Poms have rellies there and it’s a great State to explore- it is simply massive!

  160. Janet Dunne says:

We would love to go back to the pacific coat of Mexico. We would go back to the Royal de Cameron on the next plane. It is a fabulous area of Mexico. The realo Mexico!

  161. Kieran m says:

I would recommend a 787 flight from your new 2013 base at Leeds Bradford to new transatlantic destination for Leeds to places like Florida as this route is a high potential for passengers from Leeds and the 787 will fit in nicely

  162. Claire Chiverton says:

I’d like to see more choice to fly to alternative caribbean islands from Manchester. We have previously travelled to the Bahamas and Aruba from there, with First Choice, but these are no longer available. It would be nice to see these back as an option along with Antigua, St Lucia, Caymen Islands perhaps?

    • Kirsty@Thomson says:

Hi Claire, Our flight plans can change all the time and it can depend on demand for these. I’ll definitely pass your feedback on to the relevant team. We may offer more routes in the future from different airports in the UK to new destinations.

  163. Claire Thomasson says:

I would love the 787 to whisk me away to Hawaii and Las Vegas. A direct flight would be ace! Been to Mexico 3 times and Sept 5th is my 4th (Riviera Maya), I will go again next year to fly on the new plane but my DREAM would be Hawaii :0) Pearl Harbour is on my to do list as was the Grand Canyon and Chichen Itza, they are both crossed off, help me get Pearl Harbour x

    • Amarita@Thomson says:

Hi Claire, Wouldn’t that be fantastic. I’d love a direct flight to Hawaii and Las Vegas as well. I’ll pass your feedback onto the relevant team in regards to this.

    • Amarita@Thomson says:

Hi Claire, Wouldn’t that be fantastic. I’d love a direct flight to Hawaii and Las Vegas as well. I’ll pass your feedback onto the relevant team in regards to this.

  164. Richard Kelly says:

I would like to see the Dreamliner on new routes from Manchester to the west coast of Mexico and the South Pacific. I`d like to see it on routes from Newcastle but unfortunately the runway is not long enough ,for it to take off, with a full load of fuel! Could You possibly put the 767`s back, on the Newcastle to Dom Rep route when you get the new Dreamliners?

    • Amarita@Thomson says:

Hi Richard, I’ll pass your feedback onto the relevant team in regards to this. Thank you for your comments and suggestion.

  165. Richard Kelly says:

I would like to see the787 go from manchester to west coast of mexico and the south pacific.

    • Amarita@Thomson says:

Hi Richard, I’ll pass your feedback onto the relevant team. Thank you for your comments.

  166. Graeme saint says:

Cozumel,Mexico. Best holiday we had with Thomson but no longer available.

    • Hollie @Thomson says:

Hi Graeme, I’m glad you had a good time in Cozumel. Are there any other destinations that take your fancy? ^Hollie

  167. Sonia says:

I really recommend las Vegas, goa and Thailand because they are places people would go more than once, plus cheaper hotels in goa and Thai would make package holidays affordable.
Places like South Africa, brazil and Hawaii would be an acquired taste and many people would choose those destinations with scheduled flights and it would be expensive to run weekly flights to those destinations…but if you do choose SA/Hawaii/brazil, I would love to go.

  168. sally roberts says:

Las Vegas please, we go there every year and having to change planes in the US makes it a very long journey

  169. elliot says:

    Hawaii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  170. Will Jones (Age 10) says:

Newcastle International why cut the north east off from the dreamliner I have waited for years and when you did release it you dont fly it from Newcastle!

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Will, Unfortunately the runway at Newcastle is too short but we may look at flying from here in the future. Sorry for any disappointment this has caused.

  171. Fraser Pearson says:

Hawaii please just a beautiful and exotic destination.

  172. Carol Kirk says:

Hawaii would be great it would be good to travel long haul in more comfort the Dream liner from what I have read would be ideal.

  173. Nick Sage says:

Direct to Thai resorts by dreamliner would be so much preferred to the current need to change flights.

  174. Nicky says:

Medium Hall destinations would be good like tenerife or Morroco etc

  175. Jordan says:

Cyprus because it is a amazing place but the flight on a normal Boeing is boring whereas on the dreamliner you can experience a better flight.

  176. Mark Brennan says:

    Zanzibar, Seychelles, Antigua

More long haul flight choices from Birmingham please… sick of the same old choices from Birmingham – us Midlanders want some variety !

  177. Anne says:

Las Vegas please so I can go on the Dreamliner for my honeymoon in 2014!!!

  178. Amir says:

I think the 787 should go to Dubai, Perth and brazil

  179. Amir says:

I think the 787 should go to Perth, Dubai and brazil

  180. Mike says:

The dreamliner should deffenetly go to melbourn and Dubai

  181. Jamie says:

It should go to melbourn and hong kong

  182. Lynn says:

Off to Cuba in May 2013, any chance we will fly on the Dreamliner? here’s hoping!

    • Kirsty@Thomson says:

Hi Lynn, The Dreamliner is only travelling to Mexico and Florida for next summer. It may be something that’s looked into for the future.

  183. Peter Horton says:

Hawaii would be an awesome destination

  184. Simon says:

    California
    Hawaii
    Barbados
    Jamaica
    New Delhi
    Bombay
    Singapore

  185. Simon says:

I forget to mention Las Vegas to the above list.
Have flown with Thomson many times, having just returned from Djerba, Tunisia and I am sure the 787 Dreamliner will be a great addition

  186. John says:

Cuba – Guardalavaca end. Been waiting long time for the 787, now it seems that Cuba is not one of the destinations planned for this fantastic plane

  187. Sue says:

would love to fly on Dreamliner to Havana in Cuba

  188. Chantelle says:

Hawaii and Las Vegas could maybe do a twin centre if the flights are not direct to Hawaii. Both destinations are very popular and haven’t got as many airlines going there or reasonable prices. Also love the idea uve got of Thailand and South Africa!

  189. Sue Ann Maben says:

How about some short haul destinations for those of us that are disabled and cannot do the long hauls. How about Tunisia and Alicante so we can have some decent sized seating and leg room for those who are not so able to cram themselves in the tight fit seats and need plenty of room for legs etc that do not work as well these days but still enjoy foreign holidays and are willing to pay extra for the comfort as after all that’s what holidays are all about.Enjoying ones self in comfort.

  190. Pete W says:

Definately the Dominican Republic! My fiance and I are getting married there in 2014 and flying on this amazing aircraft would be a fantastic and wonderful way to travel for our special day in the sun. Make it happen Thomson pleeeeease!!

  191. Jenna says:

Dubai – best place in the world!
    South Pacific Bora Bora Tahiti
    Hawaii
    Indian Ocean.
Please fly from Cardiff it is a pain having to go all the way to Gatwick or Manchester to go somewhere different. Anywhere long haul would be a bonus from Cardiff or even connecting flights from Cardiff to Manchester or Gatwick.

  192. Brian gerrrey says:

How long does the runway need to be, could it fly from say Bournemouth or Southampton , that would be really great, hoping to get on the Dreamliner next year for Florida in September, ordo you think you might go to Melbourne in time for the F1 Grand Prix in 2014, brian

  193. wendy cook says:

Why not somewhere us mere mortals can afford such as Athens – just twice a month – gives some of more mature, longer legged people the chance of having a holiday not marred with cramp from being squashed up for the duration of the flight. No harm in wishing eh??!!

  194. Sam T says:

Dominican Republic … Very popular long haul destination :)

  195. Anthony Michael says:

I believe Cyprus is a good destination for the Dreamliner as great comfort will mean more passengers to that destination. Cyprus already gets a lot of tourism so it would be nice.

  196. Nick says:

Maldives! The dream destination deserves a dreamliner!

  197. maggie says:

Fantastic not before time we all deserve affordable comfort when we travel.Sanfransico PLEASE ,perhaps from BRISTOL INTERNATIONAL???? WE can dream,it would make the journey to see our daughter a even more fantastic experience.

  198. Gavin says:

Costa Rica for the amazing people, scenery and wildlife.

    • Dan @Thomson says:

Hi Gavin, I think Costa Rica looks amazing. Have you been before?

      • Gavin says:

Hi Dan, yes , did a First Choice Holiday there a few years back, it was the nicest place I have ever been, planning another trip for next year, would be awesome to do another direct Thomson flight into Liberia, its not the easiest of places to get too, but worth it.

  199. Samiie jo says:

I think you should fly to the Dominican republic using the Dreamliner ! :)

  200. Kellie says:

I think you should go to the Dominician Republic! We are going in may2013 for our Honeymoon and would be fab to go on the Dreamliner. X

  201. Chelsey says:

Hi Thomson i’m disappointed the 787 is not flying from BHX, I thought out of EMA and BHX, Birmingham would have been chosen. Hopefully it will fly from there in the future?
I would like to see the Dreamliner fly to quite a few destinations!
    South Africa
More US destinations for e.g New York, LA and Las Vegas
    St Maarten
    Australia

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Chelsey, When we get further delivery in 2014, we can look at the possibility of offering more airports and other destinations. And thanks for sharing your suggestions with us :)

  202. Chelsey says:

Also is it just long haul the Dreamliner will be flying?
Would really like to see it fly to short/mid-haul destinations!!

    • Rhiannon @Thomson says:

Hi Chelsey, The Dreamliner is for long-haul destinations but if anything was to change, we’d always let everyone know.

  203. Jordan says:

I think you should do a couple of routes from each continent(exept Europe, unless Moscow)for example you could do Australia and Indonesia.for Asia Hong Kong,Japan and china.brazil and Argentina are good ones!!!south Africa and Dubai would also be good!!!!!for America and Canada you could do New York,LA,las Vegas,Vancouver an Toronto!!!i would be happy if these destinations were Dreamliner destinations!!!!!:-)

  204. Matthew says:

Sri Lanka! It’s an amazing place with loads to do and YEAR ROUND sun!

Also, why not be a market leader and create the first direct flight to Lima, Peru? You’d get LOADS of business then because everyone has to go via a connection, massively increasing cost

  205. Brian Keogh says:

Surprised you have no plans to fly
    The Dreamliner to Cuba!!!

    • Dex says:

Pay £ 100 extra and they put you on Dreamliner to Cuba .Mexico is more profitable to Thomson. So you can dream on being on Dreamliner!!Don’t forget to sugest that as Thomson may take this on board!

  206. ZOE says:

When will you be flying to Jamaica?

    • Dan @Thomson says:

Hi Zoe, We only get a few of our Dreamliner’s next year so once we receive the rest of them, they should be introduced on to some of our existing routes.

  207. Andrew Swift says:

Could we be seeing the 787 at NCL eventually? Would love to see Holguín, Barbados (Grantley Adams Int.) and Hurghada as new destinations from the Toon and the Dreamliner on all three routes.

    • Dan @Thomson says:

Hi Andrew, We won’t be flying out of Newcastle to start with. But when we get more Dreamliners we’ll hopefully be introducing them to more routes. So you may see a 787 from Newcastle in the future.

  208. JB says:

I think the 787 should fly to Tobago, Antigua, Hawaii and Australia

  209. Blanche Taylor & Peter Shaw says:

Please fly to Barbados. It is the most re-visited island in the Carribean so people go from time to time. And from Manchester please

    • Kirsty@Thomson says:

Hi Blanche and Peter, It’s not something I’m aware of at the moment but you never know for the future. Thanks for your feedback.

  210. Garad says:

Cape Town, very popular and profitable route…

  211. Dan Wilson says:

    Abu Dhabi,
Its been completlely rebuilt with its Golden beaches and 40+degree Heat, One of the richest countries in the world, Beautiful, LOOK IT UP(:

  212. Sam says:

Dominican Republic :) Puerto plata! been going for the last 7 years!

  213. Paul says:

    Hawaii please

  214. Matt Holden says:

I think Kathmandu for the Himalayas and diverse culture and Los Angeles as no direct flights there in the midlands region

  215. GrevilNormanNorman says:

I think the Dreamliner will definitely go Jamaica in the near future. It has a very high demand with a lot of returning Jamaicans not just tourist.

    • Sabrina @Thomson says:

Hi, It’s not on the schedule at the moment, but I will pass you feed back on to the relevant team. As I’m sure new destinations will be considered for the future

  216. Joanna Jersey says:

Bring back Puerto Vallarta ! What a great place. And what about Bali ?

    • Elaine @Thomson says:

Hi Joanna, We’ve no plans to introduce these destinations at the moment, however I’ll feed this back to the relevant department.

  217. Brian gerrrey says:

Do Thomson know how many new dreamliners they might be getting in the future, would love flights to south coast Dom rep, been 7 times now, best hotel was Casa del mar or Dreams as its now known, Brian

    • Christina @Thomson says:

Hi Brian, TUI Travel currently have 13 Dreamliner aircraft, 8 of which will be flying with us at Thomson. We’re unsure as to how many we’ll be getting in the future, but keep checking our social media channels because as soon as we have any more information we’ll post it here on our Dreamliner blog.

  218. Tim Price says:

How about UK to Barbados to catch the P&O cruises?
The 767 we went on last year was very tired looking inside and out.

    • Christina @Thomson says:

Hi Tim, Thanks for your feedback. I’ll be sure to pass this on to the relevant department for you.

  219. James Fisher says:

How about Hawaii, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Johannesberg, Barbados, Cuba, and Cape Town from Gatwick. New York is one of the places I most want to go in the world, and I know Gatwick used to have a route, and I only live about 3 miles away from Gatwick, and I also have relatives very close to Sydney, I have never been to Australia before, and Hawaii also intrigues me.

  220. James Fisher says:

I have also been to Barbados three times before, it is paradise, and would love to travel there again one day either on a BA 777, or Thomson 787.

  221. Daniel Iliff says:

Hawaii!! We definitely need a direct route to Hawaii, it’s such a pain to have to connect in America with long waiting times! Honolulu all the way!!!!

    • Elaine @Thomson says:

Hi Daniel, We’ve no plans to fly to Hawaii on our Dreamliner at the moment. I’ll pass you comment on to our Flight Team.

  222. Dawn Holmes says:

Barbados as it would be a great to start your cruise flying on this new plane

    • Dan @Thomson says:

Hi Dawn, From next Winter our Dreamliners will be flying to Barbados on selected flights.

  223. Kyle says:

What about the Maldives, it’s near enough Thailand, sort of ;) .
Would love to fly on the Dreamliner to the Maldives!

  224. Dave says:

When do you start flying to Goa

    • Lauren K @Thomson says:

Hi Dave, We currently offer flights to Goa but we haven’t set a date for when we’ll start using the Dreamliner to fly there. It’s best to keep an eye on our website to see which flights we’ll be using them for in the future.

      • Julie Grundy says:

LaurenK@Thomson says ‘We currently offer flights to Goa but we haven’t set a date for when we’ll start using the Dreamliner to fly there. It’s best to keep an eye on our website to see which flights we’ll be using them for in the future.’ But I’ve done a flight search for next January (2014) and the Dreamliner is specifically mentioned on the ‘Results’ page. I intended to book this flight on the strength of this, but not sure I will now as the information seems to be misleading.

        • James @Thomson says:

Hi Julie, Thanks for your message. and in regards to your recent query. We’re in constant communication with Boeing for the latest updates surrounding the Dreamliner. Boeing has assured us that we have no reason to believe that our first 787 scheduled to be delivered for May 1st will be affected. Our flight schedules to Goa are as advertised on the 787 Dreamliner and should be scheduled for this aircraft. I hope this helps answer your query.

          • Julie Grundy says:

Thank you James! We’ll probably book in the next few days, if the price stays the same. Sounds much better than changing planes when flying scheduled.

  225. TREV OWEN says:

If you are going to Thailand, then why not carry on to Sydney I’ve got family in both locations, I’m 6ft 5ins tall and need all the leg room I can get! Most people going to Australia like to have a break in SE Asia, so I’d say go for it!

  226. Ann says:

Tampa Florida, there are no direct flights anymore from Manchester

  227. alan lee says:

will the recent problems that the aircraft is experiencing at present with electrical and battery problems make any change to the delivery date and schedules

    • Dan @Thomson says:

Hi Alan, We want to make you aware that Thomson Airways has not yet been given a new delivery date for its first 787 Dreamliner by Boeing. Our priority is to ensure our customers go on their holidays and we are, therefore, putting contingency plans in place including using alternative aircraft for our long-haul flights to Mexico and Florida if delivery is delayed beyond the end of March.

  228. Vicki & Alex says:

    Hello!
We would LOVE to go to Hawaii & see pearl harbour. We’d also love Sydney as well! Goa & brazil would be amazing too!!

  229. Rob Arnold says:

Will you be starting flights to Australia on the Dreamliner any time soon.

    • Stefan @Thomson says:

Congratulations on being granted your license to fly, I’m sure there are thousands of people eagerly waiting to board one of the worlds most iconic planes, and what a nice birthday present to me that the first flights are on my birthday 8.07.13. Can you tell me which airport/s they will be taking off from, as I would love to go and see one leaving. My preferred destination to fly to would be GOA, as it’s a 10 hour flight, comfort is essential.x

Its got to be Hawaii, all the islands are great, but Maui and the small town of Lahaina are beautiful and the welcome you receive on arrival is fantastic.

  237. Joey Gerardi says:

I think JFK is a good destination, New York City is the gateway to the United States, I think it should have the airplane of the future flying into JFK.

I also think the 787 should fly to Anchorage,AK seasonaly. I think Anchorage should have a destination on another continent, Anchorage is less that 9.5 hours from the rest of the industrial world.

    • Elaine @Thomson says:

Hi Joey, Thanks for your feedback. I’ll be sure to pass this on to our Product Team.
